Community Benefits from Hockey Sticks & Honky Tonk

Dec. 01, 2021

Silent Ice Sports and Entertainment is proud to announce the totals raised at this year’s Hockey Sticks and Honky Tonk concert, a one-day concert in support of three charities.

SISE would first like to thank title sponsors NexGen Transportation and GS Construction for helping make this event happen as well as Western Star Trucks North for being an incredible host once again.

A big thank you to everyone who came and supported the charity concert. Those who attended were treated to the incredible musical talents of Jade Eagleson and Jess Moskaluke.

The three charities who benefited this year will receive the following:

  •  Canadian Native Friendship Centre were to receive a $5000 donation but GS Construction decided to double the amount making the total donation from SISE and GS Construction to the sum of $10,000.
  • The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund will receive a cheque for $5000 on behalf of SISE and NexGen Transportation.
  • The Kinettes of Spruce Grove Christmas Hamper Drive received $2093.75 in donations as well as over $1500 in new unwrapped toys.

The total amount raised for the three charities at this year’s event was just over $18,500.

Once again thank you to all the participating partners and patrons who supported this event.

SISE is looking forward to bringing back Hockey Sticks and Honky Tonk for a third straight year. Stay tuned for updates in 2022!
